I am The Blazer Boy.
Hello! I regularly intake a lot of content about watches and jewelry. (A lot.) It started not long after I began training as an apprentice silversmith when I was ten. As a jewelry designer, I’ve fabricated, produced, designed and worked in sales, for myself and for companies like Alexis Bittar, Bario Neal, The One I Love and Temple St. Clair. When Joopiter, the luxury auction platform dreamed up by Pharrell Williams, launched in late 2022, I was the inaugural Jewelry Specialist for sales events like Pharrell’s personal collection and the Lorraine Schwartz estate. My obsession with the gilded market naturally flows into all things men’s (and sometimes women’s) fashion. Even The New York Times noticed.
All this means I’ve been stockpiling industry info for more than twenty years, from auction catalogs, textbooks, industry pubs, mentors, teachers, colleagues, peers, and the library. The traditional sources are all still there, but have evolved and expanded to include WatchTok, Substack, group texts, forums, podcasts– any outlet that feeds my daily appetite.
Digesting all that intel on collectibles, timepieces, culture and trends is my own personal happy place. It seeps constantly into my daily thought process and conversation, so much so that my family and friends are sick of it and begged me to find an outlet. Which brings us here— to The Blazer Boy. TBB is my alter ego, my inner self, the home where I can exercise the thrill of the hunt through vendors, market research, production methods, origin stories, maker profiles, reviews, Q&As, and anything else that can take the form of words and images and sometimes sounds in a regular newsletter.
I won’t be crushing your inbox, unless demand for TBB gets so high that you’re dying for more. For now I’m starting with my no-brainer feed of content, accrued, digested and spit back out to my cohort of watch nerds, jewel fiends and the people who love them.
